Well I finally have her and have removed the rotted bulkhead. I'll try to post pictures another date. I have technical problems right now. I was going to replace bulkhead with Teak Laminate. Mechanic gave his opinion that I would not be happy with the laminate and should fiberglass plywood from Home Depot. (1) Minimize upkeep. (2) strength. I want to stay with the spirit of the original which was probably teak--cannot afford today.
Husband want to glue harwood flooring to plywood. I think that would be just as much upkeep as the laminate teak (if not more).
The teak laminate is $215.00/sheet (ouch). Freight transport is probably going to kill me. Any ideas--thoughts on the matter?
Someone told me on previous thread when I was considering buying this boat that "renovation is not for the faint of heart". I was so sure of myself, but did have a "little" heart attack 3 weeks ago. LOL I need my boat in the water!
