Replace or repair SX-A trim / tilt motor possible?

Trim system is outside the transom under the outdrive.
Has anyone ever repaired or replaced just the trim motor or do I absolutely have to buy the whole assembly? Mine is reading open circut, a spark when first jumped but now nothing.

the issue is the hard candy shell around the motor. my guess is it can be pulled apart and repaired, however then you have to re-seal the pump/motor
