Replaced bad fuel injector gained 10mph

So, I have a Mercruser 7.4 L29
mechanic diagnosed a bad fuel injector.

Luckly I found a reply from a suggestion on this site to get a new injogor $100.

My 27’ bow rider would reach top speed of 32 mph at WOT.

The boat ran great on 7 cylinders and I had no clue something was wrong except for the slow top end.

Now the boat goes 42+ mph

Is is that hard to believe?

Not hard to believe, one cylinder your loosing 1/8 total power or close to 40 hp
