replaced inpeller, prop question

I replaced the impeller on my Alpha One Gen 2 outdrive(serial#OL997300) today. I placed the boat in the forward position before taking off the lower housing. My question is when I put it back together, I can spin the prop (going forward, clockwise) and it clicks. When in I try to turn it counter clockwise when still in gear it does not turn. When in neutral it spins freely and no clicking sound. Does this sound right? I just cannot remember the clicking noise when spinning the prop clockwise(forward) and wondered if this is normal?

Thanks

Survey says......normal. Good idea to hold the prop tight CCW with a bungie cord while putting the drive back on (at least that's helped me keep it in FWD.) To quote Bond-o (respectfully!): "The clickin' is the opposite direction, 'n is the dog clutch rockin' over backwards..."
