The guy at WM, while being nice and helpful, told me I would have issues with my boat, removing the fin anode for a flat one, despite my boat having PS. I didn't think that sounded correct.
I had no choice as I put a new 4 blade prop on in the parking lot, and it hit the anode.
Put it in the water and had zero steering issues.
Just thought I'd share because for me, on our boat, there was no effect. I know there are opposing opinions on this, just adding data.
