Re: Replacemennt Seats for My 21' Marathon

I appreciate you pointing me to the Iboats section, didn't even think to look there. I am really concerned with the quality of the item, my current seats are all water logged and ruined and want to replace em with the plastic ones that have a vinyl pad. I was hopin someone here may have had some experience or suggestions on the best ones in that price range.

the real deal with seats is (or boats for that fact) is that you just have to take care of them.....civer your boat !!!

if you leave them out in the weather....they are gonna get waterlogged.....

you could take a piece of open sofa foam....glue it to a board.....and if covered when not in use...it would last for years !

I build all my seats from scratch....including fiberglass forms.
I can tell you that some seats are better than others....but after all is said and done....how long they last will come down to care

Re: Replacemennt Seats for My 21' Marathon

yeah I hear ya there. My boat has not been in the water much this year, and since I replaced the engine earlier in the summer, I am still tryin to get it into the water reliably. I am redoin the interior in it this winter and want to go to a more weather friendly seat. I bet doin custom seats they turn out real nice. I don't want to do the custom route, just want a quality production piece. Going to recreate the interior using the stock stuff as a pattern. Thanks again OOPS for your input.
