Use plenty of PB Blaster along with the heat. You only have to heat the surrounding area short of burning the paint. Be sure to rock the stud/broken bolt back and forth, applying more PB Blaster along the way.

If you'da done this when attempting to remove the bolts in the first place, you probably would not have snapped them.

Anybody interested in a slightly used Exhaust Cover. Real Cheap!

HI Boomyal,

Right where I drilled out on the Exhaust Cover. What kind of torch should I have used? The biggest problem about this I had little to no leverage I could apply to the cover after I heated it. Even after I drilled it out it took 4 or 5 good wacks to pop the cover. I have come across 5 or six bolts like the Drive and Intermediate Casing. Has this Drive gone too long without maintenance? Is their any Anode somewhere on the drive itself that may need to be replaced or checked to see if it is destroyed or missing? I spotted the one on the bottome of the Intermediate Casing and the one on the bottom of the transom. Where else should there be some?
