I have a '97 19' Lowe deck boat that was just recarpeted and redecked prior to me picking it up. The previous owner got bored with it and left screws loose in all the seats and console etc......
Now that I have this boat water worthy again I was looking to change out the rub rails as it had dented aluminium rails that would not allow the rubber insert strip to go cleanly into the track. In addition he lost the plastic cap that covered the point on the bow and the 2 90 degree corners on the transom. I was looking to replace the rub rails to get a look that looks finished. This rub rail only needs to bolt on to the decking as this it the only piece that the aluminium ones bolted to.
Any thoughts on what material I should be looking to use on this and weather or not i should use the rubber inserts this time again. My main concern I something that will look nice for the most cost effective manor possible.
