Replacement trailer tires

2005 Tahoe Q4SF weighs about 2500 empty w/out trailer. Boat came w/ a single axle (w/brakes) and towmaster f6514ST load "C" bias-ply tires rated at 1760lbs 50lbs. I suspect that I am w/in 200 lbs. of the max weight load.
I would like to purchase three chrome wheels and tires to increase my weight limts and gain some additional ground clearance.

There is about 1" of upward clearance to the fenders, and there are rub marks w/ the factory size tires. The fenders do not look to be adjustable, but perhaps I could replace the shackles or flip the axle for more clearance.

Any recommendation...

Re: Replacement trailer tires

I suspect that you are over the weight rating of your trailer, Scott.

Changing tires and wheels will do nothing for your springs.

A broken spring in the middle of the night in the wilderness is almost as bad as a blown engine in the middle of the lake.

Re: Replacement trailer tires

Max weight including trailer is 3750lbs. I am not sure I understand how it could be overweight? I do think it would be better/safer w/ a tandem axle trailer, but the boat caem w/ the trailer it was sold with... I've contacted tracker marine and they tell me I have the correct trailer and wheel/tire combo.
