I have a 1988 Bass Tracker 1800FS. It is basically a dual console bass boat. I have been trying to find new windshields for a while now with no luck. They are smoke colored plexiglass. They measure approx. 22"w 10"h 10"d. I do not really care if they look the same I would just like for something to be almost size. Thanks a lot for any help.

Re: Replacement windshields

Thanks for the help. I have seen some of the ones on there. The only ones that appear to fit, they normally only have one of them. That is just my luck. Mine have two mounts on each side, but none on the front. I have not been able to find any that mount like mine.

Re: Replacement windshields

A branch fell on the smoked acrylic windshield on my '91 Alumacraft 185CS Competitor a couple years ago. I did find that a new one was available directly through Alumacraft, but I didn't like the price too much as it was around $200 if I remember correctly. I bought a sheet of smoked acrylic from some plastics place on the net (couldn't find any locally). I made a cardboard template using my old broken windshield, and used a jigsaw to cut out the new one (leave the protective paper on the acrylic until done cutting to avoid scratching!). Some varying grits of sandpaper made quick work of prettying up the edges cut with the jigsaw. I then used a heat gun I borrowed from work to make the two bends - I was told you have to be careful not to get it TOO hot or small bubbles will appear in the acrylic. It came out beautiful, and looks almost exactly like the original. The sheet of acrylic was not cheap, as I think I paid close to $90 with shipping, but I still saved over $100 and this might be an option for you if you can't find a replacement.
