We are replacing an engine on our boat (2000 Larson Cabrio, Twin 5.7) and was wondering how indepth I should go on the service for the outdrives. Should I have them both pulled and aligned, gimble bearings looked at?

Just want to get a feel for what I should figure on doing why out of the water.

Ayuh,.... I can't think of any reason not to do the normal service while ya had the chance, 'n it's dry for repairs anyways,....

Dependin' on which drive, alignment of that drive is part of replacin', that motor,....

not to mention checking the u-joints, replacing bellows, changing fluids, etc. (normal maintenance stuff)
