I have a 82' evinrude 70 on my pontoon and I have another pontoon with a 92' mariner 90. I need the extra little horsepower on the other pontoon plus its my max on it, anyways what all will I need to change out for the job?

evinrude and mariner control I belive are not the same , if you have the controls for mariner no bigy. al you need is nomal tools if you do your work. and a day or two, three days to work on it if you do not do your own work you may want to think about it.

I can do my own work thats no problem it doesn't seem too complicated the only issue maybe controls since my newer pontoon boat has them build in to the console itself but they do not come standard with evinrudes either so it should be ok. by controls you mean throttle? correct?

For one you need to know wire color code which wire gose to what for each motor throttle, stearing to may be off to . if I was you I see if I could fine control for your new one, e-bay amz and craiges list. good luck
