I'm a boat and motor guy for sure...But never did much to a trailer. This winter I want to replace my hubs and springs. Springs I know. But hubs...Not a clue.

Trailer is a EZloader, 1993 vintage. I thought they would unbolt from the back and come off. But a quick look shows no Bolts in back. It this a Spindle with hub over it with some sort of center nut? I'm really not sure. I'll have to pull off a rusty tire to take things apart for a better look.

Thought I'd ask for a bit of insight before I start into it.

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly where you are in this process and it's apparent you don't have any prior experience with it (I've been there, trust me!), so I'm going basic. Start by removing wheel and tire from hub just like you do on any vehicle when changing a tire. Then:

1) Remove dust cap from hub. It's simply pressed into the center of hub. Take a hammer and sharp, stiff putty knife and tap and work around the edges of cap and hub to remove.

2) Wipe excess grease from center of hub.

3) After removing grease, a large nut in center of spindle will be visible. The nut will be secured by a cotter pin or some other means to prevent the nut from backing off. Straighten legs of cotter pin and pull out. Use a large pair of channel lock pliers to remove nut.

4) Pull pull hub from spindle a short distance. A large washer and a bearing will come out when starting to pull off hub. Remove them and finish pulling hub from spindle.

5) Clean and inspect spindle for corrosion.

6) Install new hub.

As others have mentioned, there are TON of videos on Youtube on this process. Watch them. They're very helpful.
