I just recieved a 86 bass procraft the floor where the passenger seats, sterring and reel storage has rotten from water damage. The rear and front where the live wells and battery storage look good except where one of the battery was the shelf gave way. The boat has been sitting up for 7 years its made of fiberglass I have looked all over for other damage but found nothing so far but the floor. I have already pulled all the carpet up and plan to cut the flooring out this weekend and replace. Just wanted to know is there anything else with the hull that I should be checking for and what is a good resign I can use and can you find it at home depot. Will post pictures later.

When you cut out the old decking, I would thoroughly inspect the stringers for rot.
Sadly, 9 out of 10 times if the decking is rotted, the rest of the boat is also.
Was it covered while it was sitting up for 7 years?
If not, it's surely mulch and will need a complete overhaul.

Resin at home depot isn't the best option for boat repair/restoring. I would AVOID it. Uscomposites.com is a good source for glass/resin supplies.

I'd inspect further so you know how much supplies you will need. I bet when you cut out the old deck, you will NOT be happy with whats underneath.

That ProCraft you're doing was made in Murfreesboro, Tennessee (just a tad of information for you) It's one of the well built ProCraft before they sold out. Anyway, your stringers are made from 3/4" plywood. You'll have to cut them out of a sheet, it's not somthing you can just pick up premade.

Those battery shelves your talking about are back in the bilge area one on each side and what they are sitting on is actually part of the deck and stringer system. You can rest assured you have rotten stringers, you'll see it when you remove the deck.

Now the decks goes hull to hull with the top cap covering over in and attached to it. (It'll have screws in places and tabbed in with glass in several other places. Replacing that deck with the top cap on will be VERY difficult at best, personally never tried it, but really don't see how you can. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I've done several ProCrafts, actually fished out of one I restored for 8 years before I sold it. I like the ride and the style of them.

'86 only gives us the year, can you give us pictures and more detail? 17', 18', ? Fish & Ski? Dual Console? etc. etc. etc.
