Replacing Fuel/VRO pump with old style GT150

I have a '85 Johnson GT 150 (TLSCO) and wanted to replace the fuel pump with an old style.My VRO has been disconnected for several years now. Has anyone done this on the '85 or '86 models? If so any major problems, tips or other info?. Does anyone know what part number for the fuel pump? thanks

try going here and typing in your motor. I believe any pump 78-83 will bolt right up. the VRO pulse line will go to fuel pump pulse line. Disconnect the 3 or 4 wire VRO wiring plug and tape it up. Others will be able to help you further. gl
