I think your "Average mechanic skills" needs to get a service manual for your engine and drive.<br />Then you will find that there is no raw water pump in the drive. It's located on the front of the engine. It's item #2 below.<br /><br />
Don S, thank you for your diagram, I have a service manual, just have not had time to check it out just yet, the big issue just happened yesterday. So what your saying is that the impeller is located in the front of the engine noted by the number 2 on the diagram that you sent?
