Well the 170 is smooth but the 485 flywheel had balancing grooves near the outer edge. Can I just pull the studs off the 485 crank and swap the coupling that way?
Good sir, where can I get said sponsors to help me with my race car? I'm coming out of pocket for both race car and boat, so I'm doubly stretched financially, lol.Boating is seriously more expensive than racing (racing you have sponsors to help)

Step 1 remove the driveWell I did the old ball ping test and there is rot throughout the middle of my transom. What would be the easiest way to access the transom since I have storage blocking leafy and right sides.
It wasn't too bad on my boat. Start by removing the rub rail and seeing how the cap is held on...screws, rivets, etc. Also, look inside the boat and identify what is attached to the cap and what is attached to the hull, and figure out how you're gong to separate those. My rear bench seat is part of the cap and I had to cut some fiberglass tabbing that was holding it to the hull. After getting everything loose, I separated the cap from the hull, slid in some 2x4's, then had some friends help me lift the cap off and set it on a stand I built. The boat is an 82 vip. Is it hard pulling the cap? Seen a few videos but none on a 17’ boat
