Replacing prop after service

Hi all. I removed my prop so it could be repaired. It had a couple of nicks and needed to be balanced. I have a locking key for it, similar to a lug lock on a custom wheel. I didn't notice when I pulled the prop off how tight the prop and locking nut was. Here us my question. I replaced my prop and tightened the nut. I didn't want to torque it too much because I didn't want to affect the spin. However if I grab my prop and pull aft, there is a small amount of slip or play. I moored to a slip tonight (we are on vacation in Bullhead City) and before I head out for a week on the river I'd like to make sure the play/slip in the prop won't burn up a bearing or an engine.
