hi all......my lower casing cracked....and i had to replace it.

i have a used part.

my carrier and drive shaft look good. the one that came with the used lower does not.

i was told that i cannot swap my good carrier to the different unit ?????

is this correct?...i cant see why not, as the carrier does not turn...rather its a compression fit......

any insights?

thank you

You can mix, 'n match, Matching parts, so long as everything is set/ shimmed to Spec....

you should check the backlash of the reverse gear when using the new carrier, if you are within spec (most don't even have shims because the tolerance is so great) you will be fine with the other carrier

definitely pressure test before putting everything back together
