Howdy all -
I am fairly new to the boating community as a whole but not to wrenching as a hobby, I have been restoring and resto-modding classic cars and trucks for the last 25 years.
That said, I now have my first boat, a 66 18' Starcraft Starchief with a 110 hp 4cyl inline and mercruiser outdrive. I am needing to replace the control cables. Everything I hear talks about the throttle and shift cable. While looking for the size written on the casing this morning - I noticed there seems to be another cable that runs through the transom. Do I need to replace this one too?
BTW - I could not find anything written on the cables so after work today I will be removing them so I can measure for new. - typical of working on old stuff I suppose.
Thanks,
Greg
