Re: repower??

and sometimes this is the inherent problem with the net.
as we cant actually see it we sometimes have an issue Identifying it. and sometimes it really really makes a difference.
DonS,Newport Dave, myself and a few others actually make a living at this stuff.
we see it all the time, someone buys a boat or a part based on what someone else said and its all wrong.
I have one in here now that the valve covers were swapped and according to the seriel number on the cover its for an alpha in the 80's but it was in a lurhs with a borg-warner 1-1 clutch.
the tag on the block has been removed.
so its tough to Id what excatly I am dealing with.
its a hodge-podge and I gotta figgure how to un hodge-podge it.
thats why we constantly ask for seriel numbers at a minimum and pics whenever possible.
but dont anyone get offended, sometimes us techs have a warpered sense of homour and sometimes we have bad days.
yet we all try to help. not like I got paid for any posts.
occasionally someone will buy me a beer though :).
I actually tried to figgure out how much time I have spent on this site, but it was to depressing :).
sometimes I think I need a life :)

Yeah I don't want to go there either.

I guess I could have put a pic in there for comparison. everybody likes pictures.....

I think ALL the stern drive manufacturers made everything "the same" to make it easier for hull makers.....
