Hi, My 1986 350 chevy, 260 HP motor needs replacement. It's part of the Volvo Penta AQ290 setup I have in the boat with duoprop. I want to explore what is the right option for the boat (26 ft Cruisers,INC. 6,500 lbs). Can I put a vortec engine in this boat or what other options might I have? I just got a flyer my friend picked up at the boat show and there looks like a lot of different motors available, but I'm not sure what will match up with the VP setup I have.
I'm out of work (like millions of other Americans!), so I need to be somewhat realistic about expenses. I plan to do the job myself. Thanks for your help!

That seems to be the general concensus around here. I have never dealt with him myself but people say you cant beat him.
