Repowering ???

I'd like to replace the blown 84 GT150 outboard on my boat with a brand new Johnson 150 carb engine. I was wondering if this is a bolt in swap so far as the bolt pattern on the transom? Would the dual steering and throttle cables need to be replaced? Thanks for your help, bighead

Same bolt pattern. Same cables but it has a different wiring harness. Same steering. There are harness adaptors but you'd be miles ahead to get the boat harness to take advantage of the new gauges.<br /><br />Boy are you in for a shock! You're gonna think someone strapped a rocket on there.
