Good morning all.

Wondering if anyone is aware of a good place to buy a lower unit. I broke off my cavitation plate last night and cant seem to find just the housing online. Looks like I am stuck "Breaking Out Another Thousand"! Just would like to buy from a reputible place that wont sell me a bad unit.

Thanks in advance.

BTW. It is a 1989 Yamaha ETLF 150 2 Stroke

Hey bud did you damage the units function? If not a good aluminum welder can get that cavvy plate back on no problem. Worth a shot, probably run ya around $40-$50.

have you looked up the housing part# and then do a web search for that part #?
I think this is the part # 6J9-45301-02-EK
But then you will have to move all the parts over and re-shim which is not that easy.

There are aftermarket lower units out there also

Thank you for the help guys. Found a place about an hour from me that fixes issues like this. Was able to get my cavitation plate and my skeg that has been missing a chunk for years fixed for under 200 bucks! Pretty awesome. I was so happy I bought a 4 blade stainless prop! :D
