Re: repy to thread

You guys can be pretty harsh on the new guys. My grammer and spelling sucks, SO WHAT! I love boating just as much as the next guy, and if I never went to school, I would need the help even more than the guy that did!

For all of you that think grammer is priority one here, go fly a kite or join a site that includes grammer lessons as a priority. i agree that the question should be asked so it can be understood, but it is also known that most words can be comprehended by very short abreviations.

All I am saying is get off your high horses and realize that not everyone is here to observe a spelling B or comprehension contest. Personally, if I can make out what the guy is asking and have what I think is valuable advice, I will respond.

To the OP, guess I should'nt abbreviate OP, whats that? Anyway, hope you overlook the spelling and grammer champions here and still seek the advice you need, there are many here that will help you without trying to belittle you.

Re: repy to thread

The OP asked why he feels ignored. We told him. So what?

anysentencewithoutcorrectspellingcapitalizationandpunctuationishardtoreadandunderstand Is it any wonder that they get ignored?

Even the absence or misplacement of a comma can change the meaning of a sentence fatally.

Does this need a comma? Where? He eats shoots and leaves. What does it mean?

No rule requires posters to follow this advice: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=250872 and no rule requires other members to reply.

If you choose to post bad wording, spelling, punctuation and composition you take your chances.

I think the issue is that the OP put SO little effort into forming his question that he had no room to complain when he didn't get an answer meeting his satisfaction in any of his three threads.I don't care if it was posted using a smart phone or a computer. I'm not saying that I always spell everything correctly nor do I say I always use proper punctuation, however I care enough about my question that I'll put in a little effort to use Google every now and again to figure out the proper spelling of something or to verify punctuation. Additionally, the more effort you put into your question, the better answer you'll get.

Lastly, I don't think I'd ever start a thread complaining about how no one answers my questions when people clearly had...anyone who does that is asking for negative attention!
