I used the prop wizard from turning point and inputed all of my boats data however its showing me a 14 1/4 diameter other website are showing the same. I just bought my 22.5 ft center console in the signature a month ago. It came with a 15 1/4 diameter SS prop from honda. But I dont think its the factory one I assume it has been changed.
Will one 1" of diameter make a big difference? What should I look for ex: bad acceleration, bad top end? I havent taken the boat out again since the intial test drive which wasnt to long.

Diameter is a function of the prop design. If you note diameter on various props;"generally" as pitch goes up diameter goers down.
There are exceptions for various design reasons.A 1" diameter change could reduce rpm though the prop pitch and design are the primary consideration. A larger diameter might resist venting better.Or be more effective on a heavy boat.
Do a well thought out test. I'm sure it will excell in one or more points.
Did the po say he changed the prop for a reason? Did he perhaps put it on so he wouldn't have to give up a favorite prop in
the sale.

People need to stop worrying about prop diameter when shopping for props and concentrate on pitch. You buy a prop that is designed for your specific engine. All you need is the Year, Make, HP and 2/4 stroke and look at the application charts for the pitch you need. As Steelespike says, props for that engine will have varying diameters but if you buy the pitch you need the diameter will be correct for that specific prop. It is called "design".

Its a 17 pitch prop, which seems in line for what i need, but the diameter from my research id off by 1" but Ill have to see when I take it out again and report back. I thought it was a factory prop at first becasue it says honda on the prop so never asked.

Did a quick search here for a 17" prop for a 150 Honda. Found 9 props 15" or more with 15 1/2" the largest 14" the smallest in a 3 blade.

Diameter is more related to the horsepower range that the prop is intended for . . .

I'm thinking the prop (15-1/4") is a bit on the high side for a 200 hp engine, but with a 17" pitch, it may all work out. That sort of prop Dia & Pitch would be for a heavy load. You could go with a higher pitch 14-1/4" and get good results.
