Resevoir under deck

I have a 1999 hurricane fundeck 226 FF and I have a Mercury 2001 optimax 2 stroke motor. There is a reservoir under the deck that I believe is for oil because the motor is oil injection. My question is is this Reservoir actually oil reservoir and is it only oil or do I have to mix gas in with it?

2 stoke oil and only 2 stroke oil goes in the tank. The oil should be rated the same as or higher rated than what Mercury recommends, which is Merc Optimax synthetic blend.
