Hello I'm going to restore my bass boat from the ground up. I have a question about moving the gas tank from the back part of the boat to under the seat area. The tank now is 20 gallons but would like to put a 25 to 30 gallon in and put it under the seat and remove it from the back to help with the high nose rise that it has with it just sitting in the water. Does anyone know if this would hurt the ride of the boat doing this.

hi.....welcome to iboats !

i would cut open the deck and install a belly tank.

if you install a tank under a seat.....that is alot of weight to one side....the weight needs to be in the middle

The tank would go across the under the bench seat the boat.
That would work wouldn't it

Ok I started taking everything off the boat. Found that when the trans was redo before they drilled the top hole in the wrong place and had to drill the hole again and filled with silicone. I can't get any pics to post I will try later.

Ok finally got all the wet foam and wood out started grinding to get where the stringer leftovers out. Going to put my transom back in and get ready to flip the hull over and start fixing anything that needs it and gelcoat it white.
