im on my sony viao pc running windows xp pentium 4 if that matters.

i had a textfile that i made in notepad , and then i accidently deleted everything i had in it. it was rather inportant stuff, now when i open the file, its the new saved crapp wich is usless to me.

ive tried using SYSTEM RESTORE to go back a week ago, but it still opens as the newer saved version. darned.

any ideas?

i might add that my wife printed the file and then it got tossed. any way to look through whats been printed in memory?

[colour=blue]You deleted the file, or you deleted the contents of the file?

Hi phatmanmike, If you deleted the contents of the file then it's gone and what's left is the usless crap you mentioned,
BUT,,
if you deleted the entire file check your recycle bin, it should be there, good luck. If you find the printed copy you could scan it. Ken
