Have this 1984 60 hp that has been sitting for 3 years. Everything seems to be working OK up to the carbs. (Compression is 125 psi on both cylinders.) Both carbs are type IV (?) and are not adjustable. Not all of the nozzles are in place so I have ordered new ones. Problem, one of the high speed nozzles is missing and can't find a replacement (0318684-Orifice Plug, 56D). Will this be a problem? Motor ran previously. Also one of the 1/4" nipples on the carb where the primer hose connects is broken off and I can't find a diagram that shows it to get a part number. Is it replaceable? Or should I just seal it off. I think it only is there to prime the cylinder when starting. I have replaced all fuel lines and filter, plus cleaned the fuel tank out completely. All electrical connections reading OK. Primer solenoid activates when pushed. So am thinking the carbs are the last thing to check. Have kits. When I opened the carbs and found the missing nozzles (orifices) I was perplexed. How could the engine have run previously? It was hit and miss. Ran exceptionally well at times and terribly at others. Any help would .be greatly appreciated
