Well, just as the title says. My bass boat is pretty severely sun damaged. The cap is the worst. It is black with silver flakes. There is no shine at all. There is a good bit of oxidation, but that is not a problem as it comes of with the fiberglass stuff I got a walmart. But what can be done to restore the shine? Also, maybe so you guys can get an idea of the severity, over 90% of the cap, the flakes can be felt if you rub your hand over the fiberglass. Thanks for any help.

Re: Restoring fiberglass shine

Metalflake is the absolute hardest to restore..... near impossible unless you lightly sand and reflake with a clear gelcoat or clearcoat.

The other option taken by many is to completely re-paint.
