Is Restricted and un-restricted power packs interchangable, can they be used in the same motor??

The 83 2.6 V6 mixed two packs. The port one was unlimited, the starboard was limited to 6200. I don't know if the side placement made any difference.

Yep, no problem. On some motors moving the rev limiter from 6200 to 6700 may require some jetting change if you're going to be on the limiter. We could be more specific with the answer if we knew what motor you're working with and what the intended use is.

Re: restricted and un-restricted power packs??

motor is a J225TXCUB..

There are two 383030 I know that has a 6700 RPM Limit
on the boat now that are bad.

A buddy of mine gave me a couple of power packs for with a 5800 RPM Limit. Can I use them till I get a couple of new 383030??

Thanks in advance,

Larry

You can but I'd be careful. You need to be set up at around 6000 with that motor and with those packs you'll, obviously, not get there.

Are those packs off of a crossflow?

Dhadley,

Looks like I didn't get those power packs for a friend, maybe that is a sign. I ordered the right ones for my motors model number on Sunday and should be here on Friday. will keep you posted.

Thanks,

Larry
