sure one color will be cheaper. auto upolstery (seat cover) shop will be cheaper than, marine upolsterer. make sure you hull is sound no soft spots etc, before upgrading upolstery.

unless you have sentimental attachment to the boat I'd think twice about sinking that kind of money into a 1986 bayliner. Yeah, it's worth finding out how much, but if they use decent material and you get new cushions made of decent material it's NOT cheap! I'm sure the cushions are shot also if the fabric is. Even very good cushion material won't last 20 years if used much.

Good luck....let us know what the estimate is from the shop.

i have 1988 19 foot aluminum boat from sprectrum. it seems to have real similiar vinyl upholestry to the bayliners of that year . i got an estimate to do the vinyl for 2200 dollars. i ran as fast as i could from that guy and to the nearest fabric store to try it myself.

It may be cheaper to just buy new seats from Iboats than to have your old stuff redone. Might be worth pricing out both ways there also may be some areas that you could do yourself along gunnels etc, hows the carpet? if all of the seats are out anyway might be a good time to really check floor, stringers, transom for rot if none then proceed with refurbish of cosmetics. If any rot is found then YOU have a choice to make as far as where and how you want to proceed. If you really love the boat fine but dont get nickel and dimed to death on it. good luck...

As long as the foam is ok, order the material from IBoats and do it yourself. Its easy and cheap, just cut the fabric a little bigger and staple it together for the side panels. I would just buy new seats going to be easier than messing with it tbh.
