rev limiter diagnosis

seloc repair guide has no info on diagnosing always engaged rev limiter,04 40hp,dissconnected oil/temp sensors,complete fuel delivery overhaul done, carbs checked.any way I can disconnect/bypass rev limiter.thanks john

What is your engine s/n? I do have the manual for it which I can send you if you PM me with an email address. It has a good wiring diagram of the rev limiter and how it works.
