Re: rev limiter

When i say i ease up i mean i back the throttle off to about 3/4 throttle and it takes off, then i can get it back to full throttle again.

Re: rev limiter

Would be a good time to examine your prop. Sounds like it is cavitating until you ease off and let it catch.

Re: rev limiter

something like prop slipping through the water due to air. If there is air at the prop blades it won't corkscrew through the water and over revs, thus the rev limiter kicks in to prevent you from blowing your engine from too high an rpm and no resistance torque from the water. Cavitation is kinda like peeling out on the road when you accelerate too hard. Did I explain it right? Except of course you can possibly get cavitation while cruising too, something unlike peeling out in a car, unless of course you draw a similarity to loosing tracktion on the road.....sigh.....
