Rev Limiter

Has anyone ever had a run in with a fault beast know as the rev-limiter. I have a post on here about a surging 40 horse force.<br />How does a motor react to a faulty rev-limiter?

I do not think the Force 40HP has a rev-limitter,but could be wrong. The problem you are experiancing is probably fuel delivery problem. To check this, have a passenger pump the primer bulb when it acts-up. If it corrects the problem,it is fuel delivery.<br />More than likely, fuel pump or air leak in fuel line.

I had a 96 force 40 on which there was a recall on the rev-limitter, whether or not the 98 has it I don't know. I have a post on here about the 40 force surging please read that and tell me what you think.<br />Thank you
