How to trace power back to relay? How do I get a manual or schematic for this? Please help the weather is starting to get nice.

Re: reverse goes forward elec. shift

web page

ok, what you have is called hydro-electric shift.. i have a couple o these *******s!!!
you should have 2 wires on the left side(looking at front) of the motor that dissapear down into the lower unit, if they are stock, one is green, and one is blue.

these go to your shifting selonoids. with NO VOLTAGE applied to either one, you will be in forward gear. with voltage applied to BOTH, you will be in reverse. with voltage only to ONE of them( i cant remember wich one) you will be in nuetral.... the unit will not shift unless the motor is either cranking or running. your prop spinning lightly in nuetral is normal, when in the water it will stop. get a manual.... right here at iboats.com

support this site

email me for any other questions
