I love Revolution history and found this interesting.

These guys find it 'after several dives'!

The Revolution was over for about 30 years when Perry came to fame and when the Revenge sank. It was called the War of 1812.

Thats a great find, I hope the Navy decides to salvage the wreck

The Revolution was over for about 30 years when Perry came to fame and when the Revenge sank. It was called the War of 1812.

It was in the Continental Navy, "Revenge had captured 60 British vessels, destroying 33 and sending 27 to port as prizes."

Not bad for a years work!
