I'm looking for a good source of marince grade wire that I can purchase by the foot. I'm trying to rewire the engine on my 2.3L OMC but I'd like to stay with the original colors. There are about 10 different colors.

Re: REWIRING

I highly recommend Ancor Marine brand. Each wire is individually tinned to prevent corrosion.

You may be able to find some here on iBoats.

You can also find on-line sellers by going to ancors site http://www.ancorproducts.com

You can get it at West Marine.

You can also sometimes find it on eBay.

Good Luck

Re: REWIRING

Thanks Ralph, I have actually looked there and if it comes down to it thats where I'm going to buy. They sell 12' mini rolls for about 5 bucks a roll. Condidering I need 9 different colors it's still cheaper than buying the harness. The sad part is I only need about 2ft of each color.

Re: REWIRING

I know some of the marina shops around here will let you buy it by the foot.

Rather than sticking with the color codes you can use a generic color (not red, black or yellow) and just label each wire... That will save you $$
