Sorry if this dosn't belong in this forum.

My wife weighs considerably less than I, but if she is on the opposite side of the boat from me the boat rides heavy on her side. I have 2 batteries on her side but I wouldn't think that her weight and batteriers are the cause. Anyone know what else to look at? Could it be because the trim tab on the back of my outdrive is missing?

Nope, the trim tab on the drive is for steering trim.
What you need is trim tabs so you can adjust for side to side load changes/differences.

Bennett Trim Tabs

The tab on the back of the drive has Nothing to do with it,.... It controls Torque Steer from the prop.....

jamesr1, do you happen to have a doelfin/hydro-foil/whale tail type device fitted to the leg?

I had an old out board do the same thing. All I had to do was tilt the motor up a couple of holes.

Then it is possible that the combination of a doel fin and a missing rudder will cause leaning at speed.

Aldo
