Rigging up small engines

Is there a kit or something to rig up small 9hp or 6 hp motors for stick steering, controls? I bought a 6 hp johnson and had it set up on my gheenoe for stick steering. I don't know how they did it. Some one stole it last thanksgiving. I still have the controls but they cut the wires at the motor. How can I go about setting it back up?
