right manual for me?

hey guys :)

i'm a little confused about the manuals i've found online as to whether or not they'll cover my engine

my engine is a 2001 4.3 efi mercruiser v6

i've found some books covering ?stern drives?up to 2000, then 2001 to 2004, but what i've mine was made in 2000 but sold and registered in 2001?

would this book be ok for me?

Merc do most things by serial number... not year. Post the serial number and we can find out which books you need. You will need 2 books, one will cover the engine and the other will cover the sterndrive and transom housings. So we need the serial number from the engine and the serial number from the drive.

Alternatively, you can go directly to Merc's website and order them from Merc themselves... You're still going to need your serial numbers... :D

i'm looking in my basic owner's manual and i've got both transom and drive serial numbers, which one would it be? well here's both :)

transom 0M226841
