yes, gap .030 if you do a lot of idling or trolling go to .035.

thanks,I just got it and it dont idle real good,It has acdelco plugs in it now,will the champions help that,also it jumped out of gear when I put in reverse,I adjusted linkage back toward reverse a little ,seemed to work in my driveway,ever done that?

99% chance you need to clean and rebuild carbs, have you done a compression and spark check?

Thanks for the help,I have actualy put it in the water 2 times,first time it shifted fine then I changed the lube in the foot west back to the lake and every time I shifted into reverse it jumped in and out,maybe it dont like new lube?

Changing lower unit lube won't do that, although I have little knowledge of the bigger hp motors. I see you adjusted your shifter cables. Hopefully, that's the problem. How does it run in forward? Does it slip in and out then?? You sure don't want to keep letting it do that, as it will ruin your clutch and rev. gear.

After I adjusted the cables it shifted good both ways dry,Ill let you know after I put it in water.Thanks

Its pretty cool here in sc too,but I put the old bomber in lake keeowee today and it ran and shifted perfect! Thanks for the help.
