You have gone all incomprehensible and delusional on this one, so I will bow out of this discussion.<br /><br />BTW, Mortgage interest rates have risen quite a bit here lately--due to the raise in the 10 year bond notes--It seems the government needs to make them more attractive when they need to sell so many of them, due to the large borrowing necessary, and mortgage rates are tied to the ten year bond rates.<br /><br />The refinancing boom that has been going on is effectively stopped now, which has put so much cash in people's pockets, and helped fuel what strength there has been in the economy. The housing market is hanging on for now, but time will tell.<br /><br />But I know we don't want facts to get in the way of your opinions, as profound as they are.

The left should fear "Fear Radio",and the internet--"Fear Net ",cause We the informed people of the good ole U.S. of A. (with our 2 new forms of TRUTH spreading[talk radio and internet])are hopefully swaying the AMERICAN mind in the RIGHT direction.And, ifn all goes well the next few years should see alot of Liberal politicians out of work (their reason for "fear"),and alot of CONSERVATIVES w/ new jobs to lead this already GREAT nation away from the liberal policies of the past toward a future filled w/ LESS Govt.,LESS taxes,LESS DEPENDANCE ON FOREIGN COUNTRIES FOR ANYTHING WHATSOEVER,a brighter future for our children etc.,,,(could go on and on)<br />Fear Radio?Good.Not a better sight in the world than a skeered Liberal(Daschle comes to mind).<br />To all CONSERVATIVES everywhere--Keep up the "Fearing"--Follow the libs to their deepest darkest hidin' spots and keep "Fearin'um" till they come around to the proper way of thinkin!!!

Where does PW get off with his info?<br /><br />Interest rates here have fallen!<br /><br />My brother just got a home equity loan 3 weeks ago on his house, with an interst rate of 2.78%!<br /><br />How can you say the rates are rising, when this is the lowest rate that I have seen...ever!<br /><br />Once again, its obvious that PW is just shootin the sh!t to bolster his single-sided opinion or he just doesn't know how to shop around to find the best rate and accepts the first offer!<br /><br />Kenny

Good post 12 footer.Bill Clinton and his" Nafta is good " mumbo jumbo gave many industrial and manufacturing employees the left wing enema.Where's all of these discounted goods that we were suppose to be reaping?Certainly not in the pockets of the overseas or Mexican workers.That leaves "big shots" on my calculator.<br /><br />To this day the sight and sound of Clinton spoils my appetite.Hell,The guy didn't even shoot straight with his own family.Does anyone truly feel they got his better half?I mean besides Monica.

Ob - I know how it can seem that way. Exec comp is good - no question but let me tell you, you give up EVERYTHING for it. Everything. It is 7/24/365 and pressure that is tough to imagine.<br /><br />In truth, the world economy has become so hyper-competitive it's tough to make big profits unless you enjoy a monopoly like Microsoft.<br /><br />NAFTA made it worse - now goods could be made "here" at rates as cheap as Asia w/o the transportation costs and management costs. It has hurt middle Americans very badly and will continue to do so.<br /><br />As an Exec, once a NAFTA came along you had almost no choice but to move your manufacturing down their becuase your competitors did/will and put you out of business in short order.<br /><br />It's easy to blame execs but most are good people just trying to play the game with the rules and conditions as they exist. They have a feduciary responsibility to keep their companies as profitable going concerns. Do you not move and risk going out of business and putting 500 people on the street or do you layoff 300, save 200 and move the mfg to Mexico? That is the issue these people face.<br /><br />You know what the liberal solution to this is? Here it is, only the execs and highly skilled work, pay all the taxes and redistribute the wealth to the lesser employed. Use the foreign production to keeps goods cheap.

That's true Ralph.That's why there was much opposition in putting the wheels of nafta to work.It is a seemingly irreversible reality.It is understandable that other businesses have to follow suit or die.However,the greed and profit at the top and politically under the table is what the initial motivation was in the beginning.Many execs don't just enjoy a fruitful paycheck at the expense of middle America (freedom fighters),they are in it to join the "Knights at the Million Dollar Round Table"if you get my sarcasm drift.<br /><br />I'm still wondering,(not) where all of these globaly manufactured discounts are at?The same folowers of this "new economy" are on the side of slavery reparation and equal pay for all.All but the impoverished countries where they set up their profit machines . Oh well.Think I'll tie some leaders.
