Ring free cleaning

Doing a full clean on 1999 250 ox66, I am seeing a lot of oil coming from exhaust and bogging at idle, also almost sounds like spark knock or out of time at cruising rpms 3800 and up. Is this normal while running ring free at full strength? One bottle to 6 gallons of fuel.

I'll have to read the instructions on my bottle of Ringfree, but your mixture seems high if I remember. There is a pickup tube for the O2 sensor that can make a sound similar to what you describe when it is clogged. With your cleaning of carbon it could easily be plugged and in need of replacement and or cleaning

Cleaning the O2 sensor was the first thing I did because the motor seemed to be running very rich, lots of smoke and rough idle. Started ring free treatment at the same time.
