I'm looking at a 1998 Rinker Festiva, 5.7/Alpha.

Is this a good boat? Now I know it's not a Cobalt, but that's reflected in the price!

Thanks!

Re: Rinker Boat Quality?

I can't say I am an authority on the Rinkers, but... Once upon a time when I was boat shopping, I took notice of the Rinker line - specifically the Captiva 192 and 212 models. (I wasn't as serious about my waterskiing yet)

The one thing that turned me off about the Rinkers (this still sticks in my head) was the fact that at a boat show, one of the boats had a defective gelgoat (it was bubbled).

Sounds like a relatively minor detail, but if you are going to represent a line of products, you should represent the best and most flawless speciman available (in my own opinion).

They may be great boats, but I'll never know because they didn't pay attention to the details.
