Rinker Festiva 212 4.3L V6 alpha 1 Gen 2

Dear All,

I just got a Rinker Festiva 212 with a Mercruiser 4.3L V6 engine driving an Alpha 1 Gen2. Propeller pitch is 21 with diameter of 14.25.Engine WOT is at 5400rpm and I am noticing that speed is not greater than 24 knots and alot of cavitation out of the prop. Did someone ran into this issue? Any prop pitches for someone with a similar or same setup?

Hi. You won’t be getting 5400 rpm I’d think. Or I hope you aren’t anyway. Is the prop ok ? I’d check your rpms first and take it from there. Does the outdrive look as if it’s not original ? What’s the ratio on it ? I’ve been on one of these boats with identical engine and an alpha. It had 21” hi 5 prop on it. Did quite high rpms trimmed out an about late 30’s
