Guys,

I have a tempo motor flusher that I purchased to rinse my Johnson 1967 60HP motor that isnt easy to use.

Question I have is when I have used my boat in salt water I take it to a car wash place and wash it. I noticed yesterday that if I stick the high pressure gun up the exhaust it actually sends a good stream of water out through the Pee Hole. Is this sufficient enough instead of connecting the tempo motor flusher?

Regards
Ricky

I am not an expert on motor flush. I do reside in Florida and do a lot of salt water fishing.
I usually just back my boat still on the trailer into a freshwater boatramp deep enough to get the foot under water. Then just crank the motor and let it run, the circulation will rinse the salt water.
I do not think you are rinsing the comp-lete cooling system by shooting pressure through the exhaust and into the cooling system. yes you are rinsing some but it may not be getting to the upper vertical passages of the cooling system.

DO NOT do that. That water can go up through the exhaust pipe and into the cylinders. That will totally destroy the motor. Don't even think about it. If fact, you may have already done it yesterday. Put that boat back in the water and take it for a run to blow the water out of the cylinders. Now! today!!!! Without delay!!! (did I make that clear?)
