Riser boot install

The rubber boot between exhaust riser and Y pipe appears longer on one side and shorter on other. Which way on install?

My BBC has the long section inboard side. SBC is narrower so maybe the other way around for you. If your engine and y-pipe are installed, should be easy enough to figure out.
