Riser gasket positioning

Trying to cure a rising temp problem.I remember the gasket for the new risers that were installed only had slots for the water passages on 2 sides instead of matching up with the slots on all 4 sides of the riser.Does this sound correct?? Charlie

It all depends on application (make, model, year, etc. etc.).

Ayuh,... That sounds like ya got the Right 1s Charlie...
The Slots shoulda been fore, 'n aft, with the restricted little holes on the sides...

Ayuh,.... Thinkin' 1 thing,... Peckin' another....
They won't Fit the way I posted above,....

The Slots go along the sides,+ the little holes fore, 'n aft....

Guess I may have the wrong gaskets on there.Slots but no little holes .Solid on 2 sides and slots on 2 sides.Am I getting over excited ,this may be the problem I have had in both engines for the past years...???
